PeopleOne Health is looking for a dedicated Medical Assistant to provide administrative and clinical support in our outpatient care facility in Orlando, Florida. The ideal candidate will assist with patient care, manage patient records, and ensure smooth operations while promoting a healthy patient experience.

The Medical Assistant provides administrative and clinical support to healthcare providers, ensuring smooth operations within the outpatient care facility. This role involves assisting with patient care, performing basic medical procedures, managing patient records, and coordinating front-office tasks to enhance the overall patient experience.

Proficient with technology, including Zoom, Microsoft Office Suite, or related software

Basic understanding of medical terminology, coding procedures, and clinical pharmacology
Displays enthusiasm and a positive attitude toward coworkers and all members of the practice
Understands and adheres to patient confidentiality
Ability to constructively receive feedback from peers and leadership and direction from leadership
Ability to work with diverse groups of people of varying ages, ethnicities, life experiences, etc.
Comfortable working independently as well as part of the team
Dependable displays flexibility and shows initiative
Accepts and adapts to change and displays willingness to learn new processes and workflows.
Must be a graduate of an approved Medical Assistant Program. Certification preferred. Graduates of a Licensed Practical Nursing program will also be considered.
Current Basic Life Support/AED Certification from an AHA-accredited provider.
Phlebotomy Certification: Required for all Medical Assistants who perform venipuncture or specimen collection.
Must hold an active credential from one of the following nationally recognized organizations:
2-5 years prior experience in a medical office preferred
While performing the duties of this job, there is possible exposure to blood and body fluids, infectious diseases, chemicals, and repetitive motions.
The employee is regularly required to sit and use a computer.
Frequently required to talk, hear, and reach with hands and arms.
Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and adjusting focus.
