Job summary

AFC Urgent Care Oregon City is hiring Medical Assistants to help providers deliver exceptional urgent care. You will be on the right-hand side for procedures, take vitals, and support patients with care and comfort in a fast-paced clinic.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• Certificate from a Medical Assistant program or comparable training.
• 1+ year medical office experience preferred, urgent care a bonus.
• X-ray experience (RT or LXMO) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist providers during procedures and deliver patient care.
• Own triage: take vitals, assess needs, and calm patients.
• Draw blood, provide vaccines, run drug screens, set up EKGs.
• Handle occupational health services and physicals end-to-end.
• Maintain EMR records (Experity) accurately and up-to-date.
• Stock supplies, prep equipment, and ensure daily checks on meds.
• Serve as a communication bridge to relay patient info quickly.
• Assist at front desk for scheduling, check-ins, and insurance when needed.
• Be adaptable and grow with the team.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Be the right hand to our providers — assist in procedures and deliver exceptional care

Own the triage process: take vitals, assess needs, and help patients feel at ease

Show off your clinical skills: draw blood, give vaccines, run drug screens, and set up EKGs like a pro

Dive into occupational health services and physicals — from start to finish

Keep patient records sharp and up-to-date in our EMR system (we use Experity)

Keep the clinic humming by stocking supplies and prepping equipment

Make sure everything’s running smoothly with daily checks on meds, supplies, and sterilization logs

Be a key communication bridge — help patients get the info they need, fast

Flex your versatility by jumping in at the front desk when needed (scheduling, check-ins, insurance)

Be ready for anything — pitch in where needed and grow while doing it!

SCHEDULES THAT WORK FOR LIFE

Full-Time ~36-40 hours/week.

Set shifts = no guessing game

• Back Half Team: Wed 1:30 p - 7 p, Thurs/Fri 8 a - 7 p, Sat 9 - 6p

Just one on-call shift per month (and you get to choose the day!)

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

We want driven, friendly, and detail-oriented Medical Assistants who bring positive energy and put patients first. Must thrive in a fast-paced setting and be willing to wear multiple hats.

You'll Need:

High School Diploma or GED

Certificate from a Medical Assistant program or equivalent on-the-job training, required

1+ year experience in a medical office, preferred (urgent care experience is a bonus!)

X-ray experience (RT or LXMO)? Even better!

PAY & PERKS
