Job summary

Greater Maryland Pain Management, LLC is seeking a motivated Medical Assistant to join our growing team. Based at our Anne Arundel County and Baltimore County offices, the MA will be patient-focused in a high-volume medical environment and support the EMR, patient flow, and medication management.

Ideal candidates have MA experience, strong communication skills, and a professional, dependable, team-oriented attitude. CPR/BLS certification is preferred. Competitive benefits are available.

Qualifications

• Previous Medical Assistant experience preferred.
• Pain management, orthopedic, or other specialty-practice experience is a plus.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Comfortable working in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
• Professional, dependable, and team-oriented.
• Current CPR/BLS certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Room patients and obtain vital signs, medical histories, and medication information.
• Prepare patients for examinations and procedures.
• Coordinate patient flow in a busy practice.
• Document patient information accurately in the EMR.
• Review and reconcile medications.
• Communicate effectively with patients, providers, and staff.
• Assist with telephone calls, messages, referrals, and prescription requests.
• Maintain clean, organized, and properly stocked clinical areas.
• Follow HIPAA, OSHA, infection-control, and practice policies.
• Perform other clinical and administrative duties as needed.
