Job summary

Weil Foot & Ankle Institute is seeking a Medical Assistant to support physicians in delivering high-quality patient care and to assist with daily clinical operations.

You will interview patients, record medical histories, collect vital signs, prepare exam rooms, and assist with procedures while also handling front desk tasks as needed. This role requires teamwork and patient-focused service.

Qualifications

  • 2 years in a healthcare field preferred.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Basic knowledge of computers and office equipment.

Responsibilities

LOCATION:

This position is based in our Mount Prospect and Bannockburn offices as the Medical Assistant travels daily to the office where the physician sees patients; local travel may be required to other locations within your assigned geographic region.

POSITION SUMMARY

We are seeking a Medical Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with the physician to provide high-quality patient care and support daily clinical operations.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Interview patients to gather medical history and update medical records
  • Gather basic vital signs, including temperature, blood pressure, height, weight, and pulse
  • Prepare treatment rooms and patients for exam
  • Sterilize instruments and set up in-office procedure trays
  • Manage medical supplies and materials and work with their operational leader to order necessary inventory
  • Take x-rays
  • Perform administrative tasks and become cross-trained on front desk responsibilities to provide support when needed.
  • Other duties are to support the physician and team with patient care activities.

Requirements

  • Monday (MP) 7:30am - 5:30pm
  • Tuesday (BB) 12:00pm - 5:30pm
  • Wednesday (MP) 8:00am - 5:30pm
  • Thursday (BB) 8:00am - 5:30pm
  • Friday (Admin) 8:30am - 12:00pm
