Job summary

CenterWell Senior Primary Care in North Augusta, SC seeks a Medical Assistant to be the first contact for patient care, performing administrative duties alongside clinical tasks onsite.

You will obtain vitals, assist with vaccines and phlebotomy, manage EMR documentation, and collaborate with physicians and advanced practice providers. Adherence to policies and patient-centered care are emphasized.

Qualifications

• Certified/Registered Medical Assistant credential required.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Clinical and administrative responsibilities.
• Experience with value-based care preferred (HEDIS/CPT/ICD, CAHPS/HOS) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Discuss symptoms, obtain vital signs, administer meds and vaccines.
• Perform phlebotomy, collect specimens, and conduct diagnostic tests.
• Sterilize equipment, maintain exam rooms, document in EMR.
• Collaborate with Physicians and Advanced Practice Providers.
• Deliver direct patient care within scope of active certification.
• Follow procedures and maintain quality standards; prioritize tasks.

As a Medical Assistant, reporting to Supervisor, Central Administration, you will be the first contact for patient care, responsible for administrative responsibilities in addition to patient care. Working onsite, you will perform varied activities and moderately complex administrative, operational, and customer support assignments. You will typically work on semi-routine assignments.

As a Medical Assistant, you will:

• Perform Clinical responsibilities include discussing symptoms, obtaining vital signs, and administering medications and vaccines. Additional responsibilities involve performing phlebotomy, collecting specimens, and conducting diagnostic screening tests.
• Sterilize and cleaning equipment, maintaining examination rooms, and documenting information into the electronic medical records system.
• Collaborate with Physicians and Advanced Practice Providers.
• Deliver direct patient care dependent on what active certification allows.
• Decisions typically focus on interpretation of area/department policy and methods for completing assignments.
• Work within defined parameters to identify work expectations and quality standards, but has latitude over prioritization/timing.
• Follow standard procedures that allow opportunity for interpretation/deviation.

Preferred Qualifications

• Phlebotomy experience
• Medication/vaccine administration experience
• 1+ years MA experience
• Value-based Care experience including knowledge of HEDIS, CPT/ICD coding, and CAHPS/HOS Patient Experience

Pay Range

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.

$43,000 - $56,200 per year

This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
