Job summary

Methodist Medical Group seeks a Medical Assistant to deliver healthcare services under the supervision of a Physician or APP. You will perform routine clinical tasks, participate in patient education, and accurately document in health records within your certification scope.

The role requires a high school diploma, completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program, and certifications (MA and BLS). Two years of MA experience is preferred.

Qualifications

High School Diploma and graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program are required.
National/Registered Medical Assistant Certification and BLS Certification are required or preferred.
Minimum 2 years of professional Medical Assistant experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

The Medical Assistant will provide healthcare services to patients under the instruction of the Physician or APP.
Perform routine clinical procedures and assist in patient education.
Enter documentation into patients’ health records and perform duties within the scope of certification.

Job Summary

The Medical Assistant will be able to provide healthcare services to individuals as instructed by the Physician or APP. The Medical Assistant will perform routine clinical procedures, participate in patient education, enter appropriate documentation into patients’ health records, and perform all other duties as assigned within the scope of their certification.
