Overview

A Medical Assistant is a versatile healthcare professional who provides administrative and clinical support in medical offices, clinics, and hospitals. They serve as a critical link between patients and physicians, ensuring efficient operation of healthcare facilities.

Key Responsibilities
Clinical Duties
  • Take and record vital signs (blood pressure, pulse, temperature)
  • Prepare patients for examinations
  • Assist physicians during examinations and procedures
  • Collect and prepare laboratory specimens
  • Perform basic laboratory tests
  • Administer medications as directed by physicians
  • Change dressings and remove sutures
