Job summary

WelbeHealth PACE is seeking a Medical Assistant to support clinicians in a clinic setting, performing front-office and clinical duties, greeting participants, and helping ensure safe, efficient care. You will set up exam rooms, take vital signs, document histories, and assist with basic procedures under supervision.

Qualifications include MA certification, two years of clinical experience with frail or elderly patients, phlebotomy, and CPR/First Aid; we offer comprehensive benefits, 401(k)

Qualifications

  • Certification by a medical assistant certifying organization approved by the state medical board.
  • Two years of experience working as a Medical Assistant in a clinical setting with a frail or elderly population.
  • Phlebotomy experience required.
  • Must obtain CPR and First Aid certification within 180 days of hire; CPR and First Aid certification upon hire preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare participants for appointments, including setting up exam rooms, checking participants in and out, and obtaining an accurate history of illness.
  • Perform required pre-exam physical tests, such as measuring and documenting participants’ vital signs.
  • Perform general medical procedures, such as dressing changes and suture removals, as directed and under supervision of a physician.
  • Collect and prepare laboratory specimens as ordered, and perform routine sterilization procedures of medical and dental equipment.
  • Maintain clinic logs and ensure exam rooms are properly stocked, sanitized, and re-prepped at all times.

Job description

The Medical Assistant focuses on assisting the medical staff (providers, nurses, and on-site specialty care providers) in the provision of safe and efficient delivery of medical services at the WelbeHealth clinic. The Medical Assistant performs routine administrative and clinical duties such as scheduling medical appointments, greeting participants, filing medical records, taking and recording vital signs, preparing exam rooms, and maintaining equipment and supplies.

This role is different because Medical Assistants at WelbeHealth:

On the day-to-day, you will:

  • Maintain clinic logs and ensure exam rooms are properly stocked, sanitized, and re‑prepped at all times
Job requirements include:
  • Certification by a medical assistant certifying organization approved by the state medical board
  • Two (2) years of experience working as a Medical Assistant in a clinical setting with a frail or elderly population
  • Two (2)-year degree program in medical assistance
  • Phlebotomy experience required
  • Reliable means of transportation
  • Must obtain CPR and First Aid certification within 180 days of hire and maintain certification thereafter; CPR and First Aid certification upon hire preferred

Compensation consists of base salary plus bonus. WelbeHealth offers a competitive total rewards package that includes a 401(k) match, comprehensive healthcare coverage, and a broad range of additional benefits. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience and relevant qualifications.

$24.40 - $30.95 USD
