A leading national dermatology practice in Middlebury seeks a full-time Medical Assistant to support physicians and manage patient care. Responsibilities include utilizing an Electronic Medical Record system, assisting during patient examinations, and maintaining patient files. Qualifications

  • 1 to 5 years of work experience in a medical setting is required.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize Electronic Medical Record system.
  • Assist physicians by performing administrative and clinical duties.
  • Interview patients to obtain their medical history.
  • Record patient medical history, vital statistics, and test results.
  • Clean and sterilize medical equipment and instruments.
  • Assist physicians during examination.

  • Answer incoming calls and check in patients.

Job Description
  • Utilize Electronic Medical Record system
  • Assists physicians by performing administrative and clinical duties
  • Interviews patients to obtain their medical history.
  • Records patient medical history, vital statistics, and test results in patient medical files.
  • Cleans and sterilizemedical equipment and instruments.
  • Assists physicians during examination by handing over instruments and materials.
  • Clean treatment rooms following patient examinations.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to maintain work practices that comply with established office policies and procedures.
  • Promote a safe environment for patients, visitors, and peers.
  • Oversee and ensure that patient's needs are met and that patients are served in an efficient and patient-friendly manner
  • Respond to staff doctor needs before, during, and after patient exam
  • Answer incoming telephone calls, greet and check in patients in a professional, courteous, and timely manner

Job Type
  • Full-time – Monday-Friday: 7:30am-4:30pm
  • Pay rate starting at $20/hr
  • Training will be completed at our Colchester location
Experience

  • Flexibility to travel to satellite clinics on occasion with travel reimbursements
