Job summary

Saguaro Dermatology in Mesa, AZ is seeking a Medical Assistant to support front and back office operations while delivering compassionate patient care under a provider or nurse. You will help ensure a smooth patient experience by maintaining clinical excellence and supporting administrative tasks.

The position requires a Certified Medical Assistant and prefers Mohs/dermatology experience. Eligible staff receive medical, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off, and a 401(k) with company match.

Qualifications

• Certified Medical Assistant is required.
• Mohs and/or Dermatology experience is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Room patients and assist provider as needed.
• Prepare treatment rooms for patient exams and procedures, always keeping room neat and clean.
• Daily, weekly, and monthly exam room cleaning, inventorying, and equipment checks.
• Assist with scanning paperwork and uploading pictures into the EMR, scribing for provider.
• Record new patients’ medical history, medications, allergies, and pertinent information in the EMR.
• Reinforce doctors’ instructions regarding procedures and results.

Salary Range: $20.75 To $23.50 Hourly

Our Medical Assistant plays a vital role in supporting both front and back office operations within the clinic. This individual delivers safe, compassionate, and professional patient care under the direction of a provider and/or nurse, while working within their scope of practice. The Medical Assistant ensures a smooth patient experience by maintaining clinical excellence and supporting administrative functions.

Schedule: Monday through Thursday (some travel to Phoenix and Ahwatukee locations)

What You'll Do

• Room patients and assist provider as needed.
• Prepare treatment rooms for patient exams and procedures, always keeping room neat and clean
• Daily, weekly, and monthly exam room cleaning, inventorying, and equipment checks.
• Assist with scanning paperwork and uploading pictures into the EMR, scribing for provider
• Record new patients’ medical history, medications, allergies, and pertinent information in the EMR
• Reinforce doctors’ instructions regarding procedures and results

Skills and Experience

• Certified as a Medical Assistant is required
• Mohs and/or Dermatology experience highly preferred
