Job summary

CCRM Fertility is seeking a Medical Assistant in the United States to support clinicians and patients through vital signs, patient prep, and minor procedures, ensuring efficient fertility care. The role emphasizes accuracy in EMR documentation and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.

The position requires MA or LPN credentials, BCLS, and phlebotomy experience, with a Monday–Friday schedule and potential weekend coverage. Comprehensive benefits accompany the role.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Prepare patients for examination, including TPR, weight, blood pressure, updated health information, allergies, and current medications.
  • Document patient vitals, assessment, encounter type, and provider into EMR.
  • Notify physician of changes in patient condition, abnormal vitals, labs, and responses during testing/exam.
  • Prepare minor procedure trays and assist with procedures (e.g., hysteroscopy, biopsy, Pap smears, GC/chlamydia testing, HSG).
  • Prep exam room for each appointment and testing.
  • Educate patients on procedures and answer questions prior to procedures.
  • Assist physician/nurse practitioner with examinations.
  • Maintain patient workflow to support scheduling requirements.
  • Order and schedule lab tests; review results and document disposition.
  • Order prescriptions/refills prior to procedures and notify patients on completion.
  • Disinfect rooms after exams and prep for next patient.
  • Maintain equipment and sterilization; report needs for supplies/parts/repair.
  • Manage back-office supplies and reconcile monthly receipts.
  • Scan consents, forms, and reports into EMR.
  • Monitor medicine cabinet/refrigerator and order medications as needed.
  • Perform urine pregnancy tests and document results in EMR.
  • Autoclave instruments and maintain sterilization documentation.
  • Clean rooms and restock linens/supplies weekly or as needed.
  • Maintain HIPAA and confidentiality; assess domestic violence and child abuse concerns.
  • Handle all phlebotomy tasks as assigned.
  • Other duties as assigned.

How You Will Make an Impact:The Medical Assistant provides essential support to both healthcare providers and patients; often the first point of contact for patients, contributing to a positive and reassuring patient experience. This role directly contributes to patient care by measuring vital signs, preparing patients for examinations, and assisting with minor medical procedures, which enhance the efficiency of healthcare delivery, creating a smoother and more patient-centric fertility journey.

What You Will Do:The Medical Assistant is responsible for the daily management of patients through administrative and clinical tasks to support the smooth operation of the Care Centers, Surgery Centers, and Laboratories. This position will coordinate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide the essential services needed. The Medical Assistant reports directly to the Practice Administrator.

  • Prepare patients for examination, including TPR, weight, blood pressure, update health information, allergies, and current medication.
  • Document patient vitals, assessment, encounter type, and provider into EMR.
  • Communicate with physician and/or nurse practitioner, changes in patient condition, abnormal vitals, lab results, and abnormal patient response during testing/exam.
  • Prepare minor procedure trays and assist with procedures (i.e., hysteroscopy, endometrial and/or punch biopsy, cyst aspiration, Pap smears, GC/chlamydia testing, HSG testing, etc.).
  • Prep exam room respective to patient appointment and testing.
  • Educate patient on procedure(s) and provide answers prior to procedure.
  • Assist physician and/or nurse practitioner with patient examinations.
  • Maintain patient workflow to meet physician/nurse practitioner scheduling requirements.
  • Order and schedule lab tests as directed; review results and annotate appropriate disposition.
  • Order prescriptions/refills for patients prior to procedure; notify patient upon completion.
  • Disinfect room after each exam/appointment re-prep for next patient.
  • Equipment maintenance and sterilization; identify any need for supplies/parts/repair and notify Practice Administrator.
  • Order and maintain back-office supplies and reconcile monthly receipts/packing slips for submission to the business office.
  • Scan signed consents, office appointment forms, laboratory, and pathology reports into EMR.
  • Monitor medicine cabinet/refrigerator and order medications, as needed.
  • Perform urine pregnancy test, document results in EMR, and communicate with physician, nurse practitioner, or rad technician prior to exam/procedure.
  • Autoclave all used instruments, document size and type of instrument on package, change sterile/cleaning solution, and document in the soak-log.
  • Clean stationary room equipment, underside of exam tables, and provide clean/linens/supplies for all patient rooms’ weekly minimum, or as needed.
  • Maintain HIPAA and Confidentiality for all patient and clinic information, HIV confidentiality.
  • Understand and assess potential domestic violence and child abuse issues and report concerns to Medical Director or Practice Administrator.
  • All phlebotomy tasks as assigned.
  • Other duties as assigned.

What You Bring:

  • High School Diploma Required.
  • Medical Assistant (MA) -or- Licensed Practical Nursing (LPN) credential required.
  • BCLS certification required.
  • Phlebotomy experience required.
  • 1+ year Medical Assistant -or- Licensed Practical Nursing experience preferred.
  • A minimum of two hundred (200) successful blood draws is required (with documentation)

CCRM’s Compensation: The salary range represents the national average compensation for this position. The base salary offered will vary based on location, experience, skills, and knowledge.
