High school diploma or equivalent GED required.
Certification as a Medical Assistant preferred, or equivalent on-the-job experience.
Experiencein a Medical clinic environment is a plus.
Basic Life Support- CPR Certification or ability to obtain prior to start date.
Excellentcustomer service skills with the ability to project a professional, pleasantimage while interacting with others; must demonstrate tact and diplomacy ininterpersonal interactions with the ability to work effectively in ateam-oriented environment.
Abilityto plan, prioritize and multitask.
Attentionto detail, self-motivated and willing to learn in a fast-paced environment.
Advancedlevel of computer skills required, including electronic medical records, faxservers, internet, spreadsheets, and Word/Excel.
Ability to handle and maintain confidential information.
Assistspatients, assembles chart information, preps clinics, and schedules patientappointments.
Directspatient flow, triage, rooming patients, and patient care as assigned.
Takeand record vital signs, including blood pressure, as needed.
Prepare patients for X-Ray procedures and otherdiagnostic tests.
Competentlyand accurately obtains and records patient information; assists provider(s) inclinic.
Quicklyand efficiently responds to patient inquiries and requests.
Coordinatesscheduling for referrals, diagnostic tests, surgeries, physical therapy, DME,etc.
Trackstest results and reports for provider review and schedules appropriate followup appointments.
Maintaincleanliness and organization of medical equipment and examination rooms.
Assisthealthcare providers during patient examinations and procedures.
Facilitatecommunication between patients and healthcare providers to enhance patientexperience.
Abideby policies and procedures set forth by OrthoSouth, licensing and accreditationbodies, OSHA, and other governing bodies as applicable.
Travelto multiple locations is required.
Other duties as outlined by the supervisor, manager, or provider.
