BrightView Health is seeking a Medical Assistant to support high-quality patient care under established treatment policies. You will assist with planning, assessment, intervention, and evaluation of patient needs while performing laboratory procedures under supervision.

You will facilitate patient flow, handle administrative duties, prepare specimens for shipping, and maintain a clean, compliant clinical environment. A High School Diploma is required, and prior MA experience is preferred.

Join our team at BrightView Health as a Medical Assistant and contribute to providing high-quality patient care by following established treatment program policies and procedures. As a Medical Assistant, you will adhere to current medical standards and practices while utilizing your medical skills for planning, assessment, intervention, and evaluation of patient needs. Additionally, you will be responsible for performing laboratory procedures in accordance with best practices, all under appropriate supervision.

• PATIENT CARE
  • Facilitate timely and efficient patient flow for the duration of their visit.
  • Perform administrative duties to support patient flow as assigned.
  • Prepare specimens for shipping.
  • Maintain appropriate inventory of laboratory supplies and a sanitary, organized work environment.
  • Provide input on overall treatment philosophy, treatment services, and patient care.
• COORDINATION AND COMMUNICATION
  • Communicate with various teams regarding patient appointments.
  • Attend required meetings/huddles and collaboration within center team.
  • Consult team members on lab testing, results, and patient issues.
• DOCUMENTATION AND COMPLIANCE
  • Ensure timely and accurate collection of laboratory specimens consistent with federal and state regulations.
  • Timely review, posting, and dissemination of laboratory results.
  • Complete timely and comprehensive documentation into the Electronic Medical Records (EMR).
  • Maintain new and existing patient accounts, including insurance and billing information.

• Familiarity with HIPAA and 42-CFR Part 2 desired.
• Prior experience with harm reduction a plus.
• EXPERIENCE
• 2+ years of prior medical assistant experience preferred.
• EDUCATION
• High School Diploma or equivalent
