Job summary

CARENOW - WEST MANOR MSO, part of HCA Healthcare, is seeking a Medical Assistant to prepare patients for examinations, take histories and vital signs, and support the clinical team. You will prepare exam rooms, assist with injections, lab testing, phlebotomy, splints, dressings, and scheduling follow-ups, while coordinating patient physicals and workplace injury clearances.

1+ year of clinical experience and EHR familiarity are preferred; graduation from an accredited Medical Assisting program

Qualifications

• 1+ year of experience in a clinical patient setting is preferred.
• Experience using an EHR system is very helpful.
• Graduate of an accredited school of Medical Assisting or completion of an approved program Back Office Training Program (BOTP) is required.
• Certification from the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) is helpful.
• The ability to obtain a Federal Breath Alcohol Screening Certificate and Federal Drug Screening Certification within 30 days of start preferred.

Responsibilities

• Screen incoming calls for referral to physicians and practitioners
