Job summary

MD Now Urgent Care is looking for a Clinical Medical Assistant to support patient care across MD Now locations in the Florida network. You will prepare patients, assist physicians, and handle exams in a fast-paced urgent care setting.

Responsibilities include administering injections, phlebotomy, and coordinating follow-up care while maintaining clean exam rooms and equipment. Travel between sites may be required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assisting program or approved equivalent is required.
• AAMA certification is helpful but not mandatory.
• Must be able to obtain Breath Alcohol and Drug Screening certifications within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for examination including histories and vitals.
• Prepare exam rooms and maintain supplies and sterilization.
• Administer injections and assist with phlebotomy and labs.
• Assist physicians with splints, dressings, and bandages.
• Coordinate transfers and scheduling of follow-up care.
• Assist with physicals and workplace injuries for partner accounts.
• Screen calls for referrals to physicians; float between MD Now locations

Job Summary And Qualifications

The MDNow Urgent Care Clinic hours are Monday-Sunday 8am-8pm. You must have flexibility to work during those hours.

We are seeking a Clinical Medical Assistant like you who provides expertise and is a champion of patient care. We are an amazing team that works hard to support each other and are seeking a phenomenal addition like you who feels patient care is as meaningful as we do.

As a Medical Assistant, you will:

• Prepare patients for examination and treatment by taking patient histories and vital signs
• Prepare exam and treatment rooms with necessary instruments for your patients including preparation and maintenance of supplies and equipment for treatments, including sterilization
• Give injections, and assist with lab testing and phlebotomy needs
• Assist physicians in applying splints, dressings, and bandages
• Assist with transfers and scheduling of follow-up care
• Coordinate patient physicals and workplace injuries for partner accounts
• Screen incoming calls for referral to physicians and practitioners
• Willing to travel/float between all MD Now locations within assigned Area preferred

You Should Have:

• 1+ year of experience in a clinical patient setting is preferred
• Experience using an EHR system is very helpful
• Graduate of an accredited school of Medical Assisting or completion of an approved program (BOTP) is required
• Certification from the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) is helpful
• The ability to obtain a Federal Breath Alcohol Screening Certificate and Federal Drug Screening Certification within 30 days of start preferred
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
