Job summary

Samuel U. Rodgers Health Center, Inc. is seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to support our clinical team and ensure smooth patient visits across all ages. You will greet patients, record vitals, assist providers during exams, and help with front office duties.

The position requires completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program or an associate degree, knowledge of medical terminology, and current BLS CPR certification. Join us in delivering high-quality care in a supportive environment.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and approved abbreviations.
  • Certification from an accredited Medical Assistant program or an Associate degree in Medical Assistance.
  • Current Health Care Provider BLS certification (AHA) or Red Cross CPR.

Responsibilities

  • Greet and room patients, record vital signs and medical history.
  • Prepare exam rooms and assist providers during examinations and procedures.
  • Administer medications and vaccines as directed.
  • Process prescriptions and communicate with pharmacies.
  • Perform basic lab tests and proper specimen handling.
  • Maintain accurate EHR documentation.
  • Sterilize instruments and maintain a sanitary environment.
  • Assist with front office tasks such as scheduling and referrals.
  • Provide patient education and support for follow-up care instructions.
  • Ensure compliance with clinical protocols and regulatory standards.
