PRIMARY FUNCTION
Perform quality team-based patient care under the direct supervision of a clinician for both clinical and administrative functions to promote health and wellness in a safe and friendly environment. Supports clinician and care management teams in the maintenance of chronic disease management, examination, and treatment of pediatric patient population.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- Perform all MA I duties with increased independence and accuracy.
- Prioritize patient flow and support management of clinic operations to minimize delays.
- Perform venipuncture and advanced specimen collection; ensure proper labeling and processing.
- Administer medications and vaccines with minimal supervision following protocols.
- Conduct advanced testing and screenings (EKG, spirometry, PPD placement).
- Provide detailed patient and caregiver education on treatments, medications, and vaccines.
- Coordinate referrals, pre-authorizations, and follow-up care.
- Support inventory management by restocking and tracking supplies and vaccines.
- Ensure accurate documentation and compliance in EMR.
- Assist with minor procedures under clinician direction.
- Support onboarding and training of new staff on workflows and tasks.
- Participate in quality improvement and performance initiatives.
- Troubleshoot routine workflow or equipment issues and elevate as needed.
- Monitor compliance with infection control and safety standards.
- Support cross-functional coordination across clinic roles.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Medical foreign doctors must have a Bachelor of Science degree in General Medicine from a regionally accredited university or equivalent.
- Experience may be commensurate with education.
EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum 2 years of Medical Assistant experience with MA Diploma/Certification in healthcare setting preferred.
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION
- MA Diploma/Certification required.
- Active BLS certification required.
- Upon hire, and for the duration of the employment period driver’s license.

TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS
- Patient-facing
- May rotate working in the office and remote/telework.
- Direct patient care.
- 15%-20% of travel to other office locations as needed with reimbursement outlined per company policy.
