Job summary

Community Clinic in Grove, OK is seeking a Medical Assistant I to join our Primary & Urgent Care Clinic team. This full-time role supports patient care under licensed providers and travels to Gentry, AR to provide coverage as needed.

You will perform intake, vital signs, basic procedures, documentation in the EMR, and care coordination while upholding HIPAA, CLIA and OSHA standards; bilingual Spanish/English is required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• RMA or CMA certification required.
• Minimum 3 years of Medical Assistant experience.
• Spanish/English bilingual ability required.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient intake duties, including vital signs, specimen collection, point-of-care testing, and documentation as directed.
• Assist providers with clinical procedures such as wound care, suture removal, EKGs, joint injections, phlebotomy, and specialty-specific tasks.
• Administer medications and vaccines in accordance with organizational policy.
• Accurately document patient information in the electronic medical record.
• Prepare, stock, and clean exam rooms to ensure readiness for patient visits.
• Perform patient intake duties, including reporting test results, phone triage, and documenting medical information as directed by licensed personnel or providers.
• Conduct patient outreach to support care gap closure and follow‑up activities.
• Reviews and maintains daily logs and documentation.
• Maintains an organized workload while providing prompt, courteous, and efficient service to providers, patients, and visitors.
• Support patient education related to medications and care plans.
• Adhere to applicable regulatory guidelines and laws, including but not limited to HIPAA/HITECH, CLIA, HRSA and OSHA/Blood‑Borne Pathogens regulations and standards.
• Knowledge of medical office procedures and patient care techniques.
• Proficiency in medical record systems and basic computer applications, such as Microsoft Office.
• Understanding of medical terminology and infection control practices.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to provide excellent patient service.
• Demonstrated time management and organizational abilities in a fast-paced environment.
• Critical thinking skills for analyzing and resolving clinical and administrative challenges.
• Ability to perform care according to age‑specific competencies.

Job Summary

We are seeking a Medical Assistant to join our team. This position will report primarily to our Primary & Urgent Care Clinic in Grove, OK, but will travel to our Primary & Urgent Care Clinic in Gentry, AR to provide coverage as needed. The Medical Assistant I is a foundational clinical role and the starting level of practice within the organization, responsible for supporting patient care under the supervision of a licensed provider. This role focuses on the reliable execution of core clinical and administrative workflows—including patient intake, exam preparation, procedures, documentation, and clinic operations to support safe and efficient patient visits. Medical Assistants at this level consistently perform foundational responsibilities while developing proficiency in clinical workflows, medical terminology, documentation, and overall patient care processes, delivering professional and courteous service to patients and staff. The position is full-time, Monday -Thursday 8:00 - 5:00 PM, Friday 8:00 - 12:30p. Mileage reimbursement will be provided in accordance to our mileage reimbursement policy.

Essential job functions
