Job summary

Forefront Dermatology in Illinois is seeking a Medical Assistant to support the dermatologist during patient visits and help maintain a friendly, efficient clinic environment. You will work closely with clinicians to ensure smooth patient flow and accurate charting.

This is a full-time position with responsibilities including rooming patients, documenting vitals, assisting with procedures, drawing blood, and managing exam-room supplies. Competitive benefits accompany the role.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of recent experience in a medical office is preferred.
• State certifications, licenses and registrations kept current.
• Willingness to travel to other clinic locations as needed.
• Proficiency with computers incl. Microsoft Office and EMR systems.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively with staff, patients and visitors.
• Ability to multitask and work well in a team.

Responsibilities

• Room patients and document all vital information.
• Scribe information for the dermatologist.
• Provide post‑op wound care to patients.
• Draw blood and suture removal.
• Clean and stock the exam rooms.
• Schedule patient appointments.
• Assist the dermatologist with procedures and related tasks.

Qualifications

Education

High School Diploma or equivalent

Post High School Education In a Medical Support Field

Certified Medical Assistant, Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse is strongly preferred

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• 1+ years of recent experience in a medical office in a similar capacity is preferred
• Must keep current on all state certifications, licenses and/or registrations to continue employment
• Must be willing to travel to other clinic locations as needed
• Proficiency with computers including Microsoft Office and Electronic Medical Record systems
• Must possess organizational and communication skills
• Ability to work effectively and cooperatively with staff, clients, and visitors
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize appropriately, and work well both individually and as part of a team

For this position, the base pay range is $18.00 - $21.00 per hour. Individual pay is determined by role, level, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education, certification, or training
