Job summary

DOCS Health in Virginia is seeking Medical Assistants to support our military partners on weekends, with occasional weekday availability as needed. Join a mobile, fixed-clinic and telemedicine model serving US Army Reserve, ARNG, USNR, MARFORRES, USCGR, ANG, and USAFR.

You will perform phlebotomy, immunizations, EKGs, and routine vitals, in a fast-paced environment. Certification requirements and weekend availability are essential; prior military or mobile clinic experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Certified or Registered Medical Assistant or equivalent training from an accredited program.
• CPR/BLS certification is required.
• Comfortable in a fast-paced environment with weekend availability.
• Minimum one year of experience preferred.
• Experience with military settings or mobile medical services preferred.
• Proficient with common computer programs.

Attention all Medical Assistants we are calling on you to partner with us to provide services to our Military Service members.

We will primarily work weekends, with some occasional weekdays in the State of VA on an \"as needed basis\".

Requirements

We provide health readiness services to meet the medical and dental requirements to maintain a deployable military force for the following:

• U.S. Army Reserve (USAR)
• Army National Guard (ARNG)
• U.S. Navy Reserve (USNR)
• U.S. Marine Forces Reserve (MARFORRES)
• U.S. Coast Guard Reserve (USCGR)
• Air National Guard (ANG)
• U.S. Air Force Reserve (USAFR)

Responsibilities

• Phlebotomy / Blood draw.
• Immunizations.

• Manual vitals and vision.

Requirements

• Certified or Registered Medical Assistant or Equivalent Training from Accredited Medical Assisting Training
• Phlebotomy Certification - preferred
• CPR/BLS Certification
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
• Minimum One (1) year of experience - preferred
• Passionate, friendly, and caring individual
• Utilize universal precautions for patient care
• Experience working with military - preferred
• Experience working with mobile medical services - preferred
• Proficient with computer programs
• Must have weekend availability
