Job summary

National Spine & Pain Centers is seeking a Full-Time Medical Assistant for our Gainesville, FL office. The role covers front and back office duties from 8:00am to 5:00pm, supporting providers and patients in a fast-paced clinical setting.

Responsibilities include managing patient flow, recording vitals, maintaining exam rooms, documentation, and relaying messages. Applicants should have a high school diploma, MA program completion or CMA/RMA certification, and EMR experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent education and training.
• Graduation from an accredited Medical Assisting program preferred or two years of clinical Medical Assisting experience.
• CMA/RMA certification preferred.
• Experience with electronic medical records.

Responsibilities

• Assist providers by managing daily patient flow and acting as liaison between patients and providers.
• Monitor and relay clinical messages between providers and patients.
• Organize, clean, and prepare exam, procedure, and recovery rooms before and after each patient.
• Take and record patients’ vitals and note any changes or concerns.
• Complete documentation for patient charts, review medications and orders, and note allergies.
• Provide discharge/follow‑up instructions and educational materials to patients.

• Hours: 8:00am-5:00pm
• Responsibilities: front and back office

Job Responsibilities:

• Anticipate and support the needs and preferences of the Provider(s) and patients by managing daily patient flow and acting as a constant liaison between the Provider(s) and patients.
• Monitor clinical messages by effectively communicating information to the Provider(s) and relaying associated responses back to patients.
• Organize, clean, and prepare exam, procedure, and recovery rooms before and after each patient.
• Take and record patients’ vitals, noting any changes or areas of concern.
• Complete documentation for patient charts by obtaining diagnostic studies (e.g., labs, X-rays, path reports, etc.); reviewing current medications, dosage, and dosage schedule; noting any allergies; and recording Provider(s’) orders and prescriptions.
• Provide patients with any needed discharge/follow-up instructions, educational brochures, and dietary requirements

Job Requirements:

• A high school degree or equivalent education and training
• Graduation from an accredited Medical Assisting program preferredORa minimum of two (2) years of clinical Medical Assisting experience
