Platinum Dermatology Partners is a growing network of dermatology clinics focused on compassionate patient care and cosmetic/medical services. We are looking for a Medical Assistant to support physicians, document histories, and help with biopsies and other procedures.

The ideal candidate has 2–3 years of medical office experience, dermatology exposure preferred, and strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills to thrive in a fast-paced clinical environment with EMR systems.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2–3 years of experience in a medical office as a medical assistant.
• Dermatology and cosmetic experience are preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication, plus phone etiquette.

Responsabilités

• Escort patients to and from the exam room and prepare them for examination.
• Enter complete medical histories and current medications into the chart.
• Scribe notes in the patient’s medical record in collaboration with the physician.
• Assist with biopsies, excisions, sutures, and cosmetic procedures.
• Prepare and collect lab specimens, notify patients of results, and schedule follow-ups.

A successful Medical Assistant is friendly, professional, and has a natural talent to always put our patients first in delivering unparalleled patient care.Responsibilities/Duties/Functions/Tasks:Escort patients to and from the exam room, preparing the patient for their examination.Enter complete medical histories along with patients’ current medications into the chart.Assist the Physician/Provider in the room by scribing the notes in the patient’s medical record.Assist with setting up biopsies, excisions, suture removals, and cosmetic procedures.Prepare and collect path/lab specimens, notify patients of results, and schedule follow-up appointments.Daily cleaning and organizing exam rooms, along with stocking the rooms.Laboratory maintenance that includes cleaning and autoclaving instruments.Other duties as assigned to the back office.Education:High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required.Certified Medical Assistant preferred but not required.Medical Assistant training is required.Qualifications:Must have 2-3 years of experience working in a medical office as a medical assistant.Prior Dermatology and cosmetic experience is preferred.Quality written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail.Strong phone etiquette.Teamwork.Professional in appearance and mannerisms.Able to demonstrate compassion and caring when dealing with others, patients, and co-workers.Able to prioritize tasks, understand the provider’s instructions, and know when to seek information or advice.Strong organizational skills.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.Experience working on electronic medical records.Our competitive benefits package includes the following:Medical, Dental, and Vision insuranceShort-term/Long-term disabilityLife and other voluntary plans401(k) planEmployee Referral ProgramPaid Time-OffCompany-Paid HolidaysEquipment Operated: Standard office equipment including computers, fax machines, copiers, printers, telephones, etc.Physical Requirements: Must possess manual dexterity to operate office machines including computer and calculator; stooping and bending to handle files and supplies; and mobility to complete errands or deliveries.
