Job summary

PMC Medical in Flint, MI is seeking a Medical Assistant to support a busy OBGYN clinic. This temp-to-perm role combines clinical and administrative duties, with day shift hours Monday–Friday, 8:00am–4:30pm, no weekends.

The ideal candidate has a High School Diploma or GED, MA certification preferred, at least 1 year MA experience, and EMR proficiency. OBGYN experience is a plus; strong communication and multitasking are essential.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Room patients and obtain vital signs, medical histories, and chief complaints.
• Assist providers during examinations and procedures.
• Prepare and stock exam rooms, ensuring cleanliness and readiness.
• Administer injections, medications, and perform basic clinical procedures as directed.
• Collect and prepare laboratory specimens.
• Document patient information accurately in the EMR.
• Schedule appointments and coordinate patient follow-up care.
• Provide patient education and answer routine questions regarding treatment plans and procedures.
• Maintain confidentiality and HIPAA regulations compliance.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare team members to ensure quality patient care.
