Rady Children’s Physician Management Services (RCPMS) is hiring a Medical Assistant to support physicians and care teams in a busy pediatric primary care setting. The role involves administering vaccines, assisting with exams, and performing basic testing while ensuring patient comfort and safety.

Ideal candidates have MA coursework, BLS certification, and at least one year of experience in a physician office or outpatient setting; new grads are welcome.

Competenze

Mansioni

Rady Children's Physician Management Services (RCPMS) offers exciting opportunities for qualified candidates to join our rapidly growing organization. We are a wholly owned subsidiary of Rady Children's Hospital and Health Center with just over 600 employees. RCPMS supports primary care pediatricians with 30 office locations throughout San Diego and Southern Riverside Counties.

RCPMS seeks a motivated and experienced individuals for our open Medical Assistant position. Under the supervision of the Site Supervisor, the Medical Assistant is responsible for assisting the physicians and other allied health care professionals with patients and families seen in Primary Care Medical Office.

Responsibilities:

• Administer medication and vaccinations (with verification of medication and dose prior to administration).
• Performs skin tests and performs ear lavage to remove impacted cerumen using non-invasive technique.
• Collect urine, sputum and stool specimens by non-invasive techniques. Ensures lab specimens are correctly obtained and labeled and lab requisitions are correctly completed.
• Perform simple laboratory and screening tests.
• Accurately collect and record patient data including height, weight, temperature, pulse, respiration rate and blood pressure, and basic information about the presenting and previous conditions.

Requirements:

• Medical Assistant coursework requirements, certified/registered preferred.
• Current BLS certification.
• New grads welcome.
• 1+ years of working with the public, experience in a physician office or outpatient setting preferred.
• Pediatric experience preferred.
• Ability to maintain composure when confronted with fast-paced and stressful situations.
• Pleasant attitude, a professional appearance and a willingness to assign high priority to patient comfort and satisfaction.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.

The reasonably expected starting hourly wage range for this position is $25-$28.25 depending on qualifications including education and relevant experience
