Missouri Cancer Associates in Columbia, MO is seeking a friendly, dependable Medical Assistant for a full-time, 40-hour week. This fast-paced clinical role supports physicians and staff in patient care, exam prep, and respectful patient interactions at our Missouri office.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, MA program completion, and at least 2 years of clinic experience. CPR certification is required within 90 days, CMA preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program strongly preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years' experience as a Medical Assistant or Nursing Assistant in a clinic or hospital setting.
• Current CPR certification required or acquired within 90 days of hire.
• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) preferred.

Responsabilités

• Assist physicians and clinicians with patient care in a clinical setting under direct supervision.
• Promote efficient patient flow for exams and procedures.
• Escort patients to exam rooms, treatment areas, and physician offices.
• Record vital signs, height, weight, allergies, and medication updates before each visit.
• Prepare and stock exam/treatment rooms and manage supply inventory.
• Assist physicians with exams and procedures.
• Provide delegated patient education, including distributing materials.
• Maintain room disinfection protocols.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and confidentiality standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

We are seeking a friendly, dependable, and team-oriented Medical Assistant to join our fast-paced clinical environment. The ideal candidate demonstrates an outgoing demeanor, strong work ethic, and the ability to collaborate effectively. Attendance and reliability are essential. While customer service experience is preferred, MCA is willing to train the right individual who embodies our values and consistently provides outstanding patient care.
This is a full-time position (40 hours/week), Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m.-4:00 p.m.
The role is based at 1705 E Broadway, Columbia, MO.
