Job summary

Curalta Foot + Ankle, LLC is seeking a Part Time Medical Assistant for our Clifton, NJ office. The MA will manage front desk duties, prepare patients for treatment, and assist the doctor with clinical care to ensure a welcoming patient experience.

Ideal candidates have Medical Assistant certification (preferred) and some medical/clinical experience, with knowledge of EMR systems and a strong customer-service mindset. This role supports our Above & Beyond approach in patient service.

Responsibilities

• Greet and accompany patients to examination rooms.
• Document clinical entries in ModMed EMR.
• Prepare and maintain treatment rooms.
• Obtain patient medical history, medications and immunization records.
• Maintain patient confidentiality, HIPAA and OSHA compliance.
• Prepare and assist with procedures and treatments as needed.
• Perform sterilization techniques.
• Manage supplies and equipment inventory; replace as needed.
• Collaborate with team to achieve goals.

This opportunity is for aPart Time Medical Assistant for ourClifton, NJ office.

TheMedical Assistant is a role that makes a positive impact in patients' lives through providing excellent customer service. This team player personifies our Above & Beyond approach to patient service and sets the tone for every appointment. They manage the front desk and handle any necessary administrative duties to create a welcoming environment for a better patient experience. The MA will also prepare patients for their treatment and assist the doctor in providing clinical care.

Essential Functions, Job Duties & Responsibilities:

• Greeting and accompanying patients to examination room
• ModMed EMR - Clinical entries
• Prepare and maintain treatment rooms
• Obtain patient medical history, medication and immunization records
• Maintain patient confidentiality, abiding by all HIPAA and OSHA requirements
• Prepare and assist with procedures and treatments as necessary
• Perform sterilization techniques
• Perform an inventory of supplies and equipment, replacing as needed
• Work collaboratively with other employees to achieve specific team goals
• Any additional duties necessary to run office efficiently

Education & Experience:

• Medical Assistant Certification preferred
• Medical / Clinical experience preferred
• Knowledge of EMR computerized processes and data entry procedures

Skills and Abilities:

• Positive attitude, trustworthy, accountable, responsible, must be a team player, self-motivated and customer-focused

Physical Requirements:

• Stand, walk and be able to maneuver in small areas
• Possess gross and fine motor skills
• Occasionally sit, bend or kneel
• Must be able to lift up or move 15 pounds at times
