SilvaMD Anti-Aging & Wellness in Chula Vista, CA is seeking a Medical Assistant to support a physician in a fast-growing clinic. The role blends clinical and administrative tasks with a primary focus on patient care.

This full-time onsite position follows a standard schedule (Mon-Thurs 8am-5pm, Fri 8am-3pm). The team emphasizes excellent patient experiences, precise documentation, and teamwork to deliver high-quality cosmetic procedures and post-operative instruction.

Qualifications

• 1+ year in a medical spa, dermatology, or plastic surgery office preferred.
• Strong communication and customer service oriented.
• Patient-focused approach with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Provide care per physician instructions following established standards.
• Provide preoperative and postoperative teaching to patient and family.
• Assist during surgeries or procedures as indicated.
• Prepare patient for surgery including sterile setup and instruments.
• Scrub in as assistant to surgeons and hand instruments.
• Maintain clean, organized operative area and dispose of instruments.
• Prepare equipment and paperwork for surgery.
• Maintain patient records and documentation.
• Scribe during exams with attention to detail.
• Draw blood for cosmetic procedures as needed.
• Label containers and instruct patients on proper collection.
• Maintain and dispose of medical instruments properly.
• Keep work areas and equipment sanitary and organized.

SilvaMD Anti-Aging & Wellness, one of our valued partners, is looking for a Medical Assistant to join their fast-growing, state-of-the-art clinic located in Chula Vista, CA. The Medical Assistant supports the physician by performing a combination of clinical and administrative tasks, with a primary focus on patient care.

Work Schedule:

This is a full-time position. The role is onsite with standard working hours (Monday to Thursday, 8am-5pm, and Fridays 8am-3pm). We believe in maintaining a healthy work-life balance while ensuring business needs are met.

Responsibilities:

• Provide care according to physician’s instruction and in accordance with recognized techniques and procedures and established standards and policies to maintain the health and general well-being of the patient.
• Provide preoperative and postoperative teaching for both patient and family members.
• Provide assistance during surgery or other procedures as indicated.
• Set up the patient for surgery including prepping area, draping with sterile drapes, setting up a clean tray with anesthesia, and preparing instruments.
• Scrub in as assistant to the surgeons.
• Hand instruments and cut sutures, keep the operative area clean and organized.
• Prepare equipment and paperwork for surgery.
• Maintain appropriate records and documentation.
• Scribing while assisting with exams; attention to detail is key.
• Draw blood from patients when needed for cosmetic procedures.
• Label sterile containers for other samples, such as urine, and instruct patients on proper collection procedures.
• Assemble, maintain, and dispose of medical instruments such as needles, test tubes, and blood vials.
• Keep work areas and equipment clean and sanitary.

Qualifications:

• 1 or more years of experience in a medical spa, dermatology, or plastic surgery office is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills and follow-through.
• Excellent customer service with a patient focus.

Compensation:

The salary for this position ranges from $20-$25/hour, depending on experience.
