Compensation: $23 – 28/hour

We are looking for an experienced, compassionate, and energetic Medical Assistant to join our team. Our Medical Assistants are an important part of the care team and play a hands‑on role in creating a positive patient experience while keeping the clinic running smoothly.
This is a great opportunity for an MA who enjoys working directly with patients, supporting providers, staying busy, and being part of a collaborative team. No two days are exactly the same, and we’re looking for someone who is proactive, dependable, organized, and willing to jump in wherever needed. This is a full‑time position with flexibility required for some evening and weekend hours.

What You'll Do
As a Medical Assistant, you will support patients and providers throughout the entire visit, including:
- Welcome and escort patients to exam rooms and accurately obtain vital signs, including weight, height, pulse oximetry, blood pressure, and respiratory rate
- Obtain and document patient histories, including past medical, family, and social history, in the EMR
- Assist patients with completing forms, questionnaires, and other documentation
- Administer injections and perform phlebotomy under provider direction
- Perform point‑of‑care testing and properly label and process specimens
- Assist with prescription refills and communicate lab results to patients
- Prepare exam and procedure rooms and ensure they are clean, stocked, and ready for use
- Assist providers during medical procedures while following individual provider instructions and preferences
- Provide patients with clear post‑visit instructions and ensure follow‑up care is communicated
- Support referral coordination and follow‑up
- Actively prepare for and participate in daily team huddles
- Monitor and replenish medical supplies
- Step in to support front‑desk and administrative functions when needed to keep the clinic operating efficiently
- Assist with patient check‑in/check‑out, scheduling, and appointment coordination during high‑volume periods
- Cross‑train and collaborate with administrative and clinical team members to maintain smooth patient flow and minimize wait times
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the needs of the team
The ideal candidate will have:
- Previous experience as a Medical Assistant in a healthcare setting
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- A warm, professional approach to patient care
- The ability to work efficiently and stay organized in a fast‑paced environment
- Experience with both clinical and administrative healthcare responsibilities
- Familiarity with electronic health records and scheduling systems
- Excellent attention to detail
- The ability to maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA requirements
- A team‑oriented attitude and willingness to step in and help wherever needed
- The ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with providers and coworkers
Education & Experience
- High school diploma or GED required
- Medical Assistant certification preferred
- 1–2 years of related healthcare experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Proficiency with computer systems and electronic health records
The position requires the ability to:
- Stand, walk, and move throughout the clinic for extended periods
- Sit and work at a computer
- Use hands and arms for clinical and administrative tasks
- Walk up and down stairs
- Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
- Work in an environment where there may be exposure to communicable diseases, blood, and other bodily fluids
