Job summary

Pride Health is seeking a Medical Assistant in Bridgeport, CT for a 13-week leave coverage assignment. Responsibilities include rooming patients, obtaining vital signs, and managing schedules. Job description

Schedule: Monday-Friday | 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM

Duration: 13 Weeks (Leave Coverage Assignment)

Pay Rate: $22-25/hr.

Key Responsibilities

• Room patients and obtain accurate vital signs
• Assist with patient check-in and check-out processes
• Schedule appointments and manage provider calendars
• Answer phones and assist patients with inquiries and follow-up needs
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Medical Assistant and/or Patient Service Coordinator in an ambulatory or healthcare setting
• Experience with patient rooming and obtaining vital signs
• Front desk experience including scheduling, registration, and check-in/check-out processes
• Must live within 45 minutes of Bridgeport, CT (Local candidates only)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in outpatient or ambulatory care clinics
• Strong patient communication and phone-handling experience
• Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems
• Ability to balance both clinical and administrative responsibilities effectively
