Phoenix Physical Therapy is seeking a Medical Assistant to support physicians and patients with exam room turnover, patient documentation, and minor procedures in a busy clinical setting.

The role involves assisting with injections, maintaining sterile techniques, and educating patients on post-visit care while ensuring smooth day-to-day operations and accurate record-keeping.

Formación

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Prior work-related experience preferred.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations and sterile techniques.
• Ability to manage patient flow and room turnover.

Responsabilidades

• Manage exam rooms and ensure efficient turnover.
• Escort patients from waiting room to examination rooms.
• Assist Physicians with injections, aspirations, castings and other procedures.
• Monitor supply levels and reorder as needed.
• Explain post-visit care: braces, crutches, home exercise programs.
• Photocopy information and file in patient charts.
• Perform basic admin tasks: phones, scheduling, insurance verification, paperwork, payments.
• Support marketing and housekeeping tasks.

POSITION SUMMARY:The Medical Assistant is to assist all Physicians and patients with needed responsibilities on a daily basis.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:Oversee and ensure efficient turnover of exam rooms.Maintain exam rooms in a neat and clean manner at all times.Comply with patient needs at all times.Escort patients from waiting room to examination rooms.Remove dressings, casts, etc., and provide patients with gowns as necessary.Ensure patient charts contain all pertinent information and are placed in designated areas for Physicians' use.Alert Physicians of patients' allergies prior to beginning exams.Assist Physicians with injections, aspirations, castings and/or other procedures as necessary.Monitor supply levels and replace as needed.Instruct patients regarding information needed once they leave the office to include:use of braces or crutchesmedication usagehome exercise programsPhotocopy information given to patients, and place copies in appropriate charts.Apply knowledge of sterile techniques and OSHA regulations.Performs other duties as assigned for efficient functioning of the unit that may include but not be limited to answering phones, scheduling of patients, computer input, verification of patient insurance coverage, completion of appropriate paperwork, collection of payments, assisting in marketing and sales activities, assisting with laundry and housekeeping tasks.MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:Education/Training:High School Diploma or GED required.Prior work-related experience preferred.Specialized Knowledge/Skills:BudgetingOral CommunicationWritten CommunicationTechnical CommunicationCustomer RelationsCustomer ServiceDiplomacyOrganizationProject ManagementTyping > 35 WPMLifting up to 25 lbs.
