Job summary

Northside Hospital is seeking a Medical Assistant to provide nursing assistance and patient care in a dynamic medical office setting in Atlanta. The role supports physicians, PAs, and NPs as part of a multidisciplinary care team.

The successful candidate will assist with routine patient care tasks, ensure patient comfort and safety, and work under the supervision of physicians and the Practice Coordinator after demonstrating competency.

Qualifications

• One year of healthcare experience as a Medical Assistant.
• Must hold American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification.

Provides nursing assistance and patient care to provide for the comfort, safety and personal needs of patients. Assists physicians/physician assistants/nurse practitioners in medical office setting. Performs a variety of patient care duties within the construct of a multidisciplinary patient care team as delegated by physician. Specific duties and responsibilities assigned to the individual will be determined by the supervising physician(s), clinical staff and Practice Coordinator after competency is established.

REQUIRED

1. One (1) year of healthcare experience as a Medical Assistant.


2. Must hold American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification.
