Job summary

Premise Health seeks a full-time Medical Assistant for our Health Center in Alsip, IL. You’ll support clinicians, perform vitals, document health records, and assist at the front desk in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities include specimen handling, injections, EKGs, and basic lab work per state rules. Competitive benefits and a comprehensive schedule are offered.

Qualifications

• National certification in Medical Assisting from a Premise Health approved organization OR Certificate/Diploma and Transcripts from an accredited Medical Assistant program with hands on externship completed and passed
• Current certification with hands-on training in AHA, ARC or equivalent Basic Life Support for health care providers is required
• State Lab Certificate (NV only)
• CMA certification required from recognized certifying bodies
• Previous Medical Assistant experience preferred

• Interviews patients and measures vital signs (pulse, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height)
• Maintains patient health records to ensure accurate and up-to-date records
• Prepares treatment rooms, cleans and sterilizes instruments
• Medication administration including injections, performs laboratory tests, operates EKGs and other diagnostic equipment as permitted by state regulations
• Performs administrative tasks, assists at the front desk, schedules appointments, makes follow-up calls, and orders medical supplies
• Performs other duties as assigned

Full Time Medical Assistant, you'll provide care to client employees and their dependents in our Health Center located in Alsip, IL.

SCHEDULE

• Mon, Tue, Wed, Fri 8:00 am - 5:00 pm; Thu 10:00 am - 7:00 pm
• Closed daily for 1 hour lunch

What You'll Do

What You'll Bring

• Current certification with hands-on training in AHA, ARC or equivalent Basic Life Support for health care providers is required
• State Lab Certificate (NV only)
• CMA certification required from the American Association of Medical Assistants, the National Center of Competency Testing, the National Certification Medical Association, American Medical Technologists, or any other recognized certifying body approved by the Board of Medical Examiners (South Carolina only)
• Previous Medical Assistant experience preferred
