Job summary

Baxter International Inc. is seeking a Manager, Medical Affairs MSL / External Scientific Engagement to serve as a trusted scientific partner to healthcare professionals, KOLs, academic institutions, and societies.

You will lead strategic scientific exchange, uncover insights, and influence business decisions across Medical Affairs and cross-functional teams. You will build credibility with experts, deliver balanced communications, and drive collaborations that advance evidence generation and

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a scientific, clinical, or healthcare field is required.
Advanced degree (PharmD, PhD, MD, RD, NP, PA, or equivalent) preferred.
Experience in Medical Affairs, Scientific Affairs, MSL, or related healthcare roles.
Experience presenting scientific or clinical information to healthcare professionals and expert audiences.
Clinical nutrition experience preferred.
Willingness to travel approximately 50-70%.

Responsibilities

Build and maintain strong scientific relationships with healthcare professionals and researchers.
Deliver balanced, evidence-based scientific communication through engagements and programs.
Gather and communicate clinical insights to inform Medical Affairs strategy.
Identify opportunities for research collaborations and real-world evidence generation.
Support advisory boards and speaker development and scientific initiatives.
Collaborate with Medical Affairs, R&D, Regulatory, Quality, Marketing, and Commercial teams.
Lead Medical Affairs projects and strategic initiatives with measurable impact.
