Job summary

EPM Scientific is partnered with a growing clinical-stage biotech seeking a Medical Director, Medical Affairs to lead medical strategy for novel late‑phase therapies targeting serious metabolic and liver diseases. Morristown, NJ (Hybrid) with remote East Coast consideration.

The role requires MD/DO/PharmD/PhD with 8+ years in Medical Affairs, MASH/NASH experience, and a track record in MLR and product launches.

Qualifications

8+ years of industry experience in Medical Affairs.
MD/DO/PhD with endocrinology, hepatology or gastroenterology expertise preferred.
Experience with MASH/NASH and product launches is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

Develop Medical Affairs strategy aligned to clinical and commercial objectives across indications including MASH, ALD, and AUD.
Build KOL engagement strategies and relationships with thought leaders, investigators and academic centers.
Lead scientific exchange through advisory boards and congress activities; synthesize insights to inform strategy and development planning.
Provide medical input on evidence generation planning, investigator-initiated studies, registries and publications.
Partner with Clinical Development on late-phase trial design and data interpretation.
Translate clinical and real-world data into a compelling scientific narrative; participate in MLR reviews.
