Job summary

Health Program Administrator/Trainee position within the Division of Eligibility and Marketplace Integration at the New York Department of Health. The role involves implementing Medicaid policy changes, managing system transitions, and supporting continuous improvement activities for the Welfare Management System and NY State of Health platform.

The incumbent will research eligibility policy, develop system solutions, work with IT staff and vendors, and may supervise staff.

Qualifications

• Four to six years of experience in administration, supervision, and oversight of agency programs.
• Experience with public health insurance programs including Medicaid and/or Child Health Plus
• Experience with data systems including Welfare Management System, NY State of Health, and eMedNY
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to work under pressure
• Demonstrated ability in requirements gathering and policy analysis
• Bachelor's degree may substitute for four years of required experience
