Job summary

Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services (DPHHS) in Helena is seeking a Business Analyst to identify user business needs for the Medicaid Management Information System (MMIS) modular design. You will gather accurate requirements from program personnel and system owners and identify opportunities to streamline and automate processes.

Qualifications include 3+ years of experience and knowledge of Medicaid business processes; a bachelor’s degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in healthcare management, business administration, information technology, computer science, or related field preferred.
• Three or more years of job-related work experience.
• Knowledge of Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) preferred.
• Other combinations of related education and experience may be considered on a case-by-case basis.

Responsibilities

• Identify user business needs that must be accommodated in the MMIS modular system design.
• Solicit accurate and complete business and functional requirements from Division program personnel and system owners.
• Identify opportunities to improve and automate business processes.
• Work with Division program personnel to solicit requirements and ensure alignment with policy and system capabilities.
