• Assist patients with applications for Medical Assistance/Medicaid and other eligible state, federal, or hospital assistance programs
• Interview patients and family members to gather financial, demographic, and eligibility information
• Complete and submit applications accurately and within required timelines
• Verify insurance coverage and patient eligibility
• Obtain required documentation from patients, family members, employers, financial institutions, and government agencies
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient interactions, application status, and follow-up activity
• Communicate with patients regarding outstanding information and next steps
• Work with hospital departments and external agencies to resolve eligibility-related issues
• Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to applicable healthcare and compliance requirements
• Complete additional eligibility and patient advocacy responsibilities as assigned

Location: Montgomery County, PA

Schedule: Monday-Friday, Full-Time | On-Site

Pay Rate: $20-$23/hour, based on experience

Position Summary

A healthcare organization is seeking a Hospital Representative to support patients within a hospital setting in Montgomery County, PA. This position will assist patients and families with determining eligibility for Medical Assistance and other available healthcare benefit programs.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with applications for Medical Assistance/Medicaid and other eligible state, federal, or hospital assistance programs
• Interview patients and family members to gather financial, demographic, and eligibility information
• Complete and submit applications accurately and within required timelines
• Verify insurance coverage and patient eligibility
• Obtain required documentation from patients, family members, employers, financial institutions, and government agencies
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient interactions, application status, and follow-up activity
• Communicate with patients regarding outstanding information and next steps

• Ability to move throughout a hospital environment and between departments as needed
