HCA Healthcare is seeking a Medicaid Eligibility Advocate to screen patients for insurance coverage, assess financial requirements, and counsel on benefits and co-payments. You will act as a liaison between patients, the hospital, and government agencies, handling eligibility determinations and required documentation.

The role involves re-verification of benefits, obtaining authorizations, filing applications, and ensuring timely processing.

Formación

• Associate degree preferred.
• Minimum of one year related experience preferred, preferably in healthcare.
• Relevant education may substitute experience requirements.

Responsabilidades

• Screen and evaluate patients for existing insurance coverage or state programs.
• Re-verify benefits and obtain authorizations or referrals after treatment planning.
• Obtain medical evidence and documentation for eligibility determination.
• Complete and file applications and follow up with patients and agencies.
• Enter accurate insurance, demographic and eligibility information into the system.
• Participate in ongoing training and support office operations.
• Make field visits as needed and have reliable transportation.
