Job summary

Myers and Stauffer LC is a certified public accounting and health and human services consulting firm, specializing in audit, accounting, data management and consulting services to government-sponsored health care programs (primarily state Medicaid agencies, and the federal Center for Medicare & Medicaid Services).

We have 45+ years of experience assisting our government clients with complex health care reimbursement and provider compliance issues, operate 21 offices and have over 900 associates

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, health policy, health care administration, health information, criminal justice or related field.
• Master's degree preferred.
• CPA, CPA candidate, or CFE preferred.
• Internship or equivalent working experience in accounting or related field.
• Experience with health care auditing strongly preferred.
• Ability to review statutory/regulatory or other policy language and apply requirements.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Well organized with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Effectively multi-task with planning and efficiency.
• Must be able to manage multiple deadlines and prioritize assignments.
• Proficient use of applicable software programs and data querying tools, including Microsoft Office suite (i.e. Excel, Access, Word, etc.)

Responsibilities

• Analyze health-related and financial information with a multidisciplinary team, ensuring data integrity and regulatory compliance.
• Research compliance with Medicaid or other government program regulations.
• Assist with analyses related to Medicaid engagements.
• Prepare written documents supporting professional decisions and health care provider quality incentive programs.
• Review federal and state Medicaid policies and regulations related to reimbursement and quality programs.
• Demonstrate excellence in communication, data gathering, analysis, reporting, and process improvement.
• Maintain security and confidentiality of protected health information.
• Maintain thorough electronic documentation.
• Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.
