Job summary

Myers and Stauffer LC, a CPA and health services consulting firm, seeks an auditor to perform Medicaid provider cost report reviews, analyze financial data, and perform reimbursement calculations. The role covers planning through reporting, with on-site and desk reviews, while ensuring PHI confidentiality and adherence to regulations.

The ideal candidate has a CPA or CPA- Candidate status, plus experience in health care auditing, data analysis, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field or equivalent experience.
• Master's degree in accounting or related field preferred.
• CPA or CPA candidate preferred.
• Experience with health care auditing and data analysis.
• Ability to interpret statutory/regulatory language and apply requirements.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Highly organized with accuracy and attention to detail.
• Ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
• Willingness to travel based on client and business needs.

Responsibilities

• Perform reviews of Medicaid provider cost reports.
• Analyze health care provider financial information.
• Perform reimbursement calculations.
• Prepare written documents supporting professional decisions.
• Conduct desk reviews and on-site audits.
• Review federal and state policies and regulations relevant to each audit.
• Prepare working papers documenting scope and findings.
• Maintain security and confidentiality of protected health information.
