Job summary

Middletown Prairie Elementary in ROE 9 is seeking a Media Specialist/Librarian Long-Term Substitute to foster a love of reading, support research and digital literacy, and collaborate with teachers to boost classroom learning.

The assignment runs approximately December 3, 2026 through January 25, 2027, with daily pay of $150 for the first 15 days and $247.13 starting on day 16.

Qualifications

• Valid Illinois Substitute License and/or Professional Educator License with Library/Media Specialist or Library Information Specialist endorsement registered in ROE 9.
• Knowledge of children's literature, literacy development, and instructional technology.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.

Description: Middletown Prairie Elementary is accepting applications for a Media Specialist/Librarian Long-Term Substitute. Thisposition is responsible forfostering a love of reading, supporting students in developing essentialresearch and digital literacy skills, and collaboratingwith staff to enhance classroom learning. This position will be needed from approximately December 3, 2026 through January 25, 2027.
