Job summary

Best Version Media is seeking a field-based, in-person sales professional to join our local magazine and digital advertising teams in Berwick, ME. This 1099 independent contractor role features no base salary and rewards you with recurring commissions on sales, along with startup bonuses.

You will build a personal book of business, meet face-to-face with local business owners, and craft multi-channel branding programs across print, digital, social, and website products.

What You’ll Do

This is a field-based, in-person sales role. You’ll build your own book of business in your local territory, on a schedule you control, selling advertising placements across BVM’s local print magazine and companion digital, social, and website products.

• Consult: Meet face-to-face with standout local business owners to showcase what makes their community great.
• Strategize: Build powerful, multi-channel branding programs using our media suite, print, digital, social, websites, and reputation management.
• Scale: Leverage our proven training and time-tested sales system to grow your own book of business, building community engagement that pays you and your community for years to come.

What You’ll Earn

This is a 1099 independent contractor role with no base salary or draw (full commission). Representatives earn a recurring commission on sales, with commission rates generally ranging from 70-80% based on monthly sales volume and performance relative to the baseline* cost structure. Bonuses are available during start-up and on an ongoing basis.

• Baseline is the back-end cost associated with the magazine & digital product’s cost to produce, distribute, bill clients, etc, and does not come out of the representative’s pocket.
