Job summary

ABC7 KGO-TV in San Francisco is seeking a Media Manager and Non-Linear Editor to support fast-paced local news production. This full-time role combines hands-on editing with media management, collaborating with reporters, assignment editors, producers and writers to deliver timely broadcasts.

You will edit using Adobe Premiere and Adobe Media Encoder, manage media libraries in Dalet or similar CMS, and thrive under deadline pressure.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of non-linear editing experience.
• Proficient with Adobe Premiere and Adobe Media Encoder.
• Experience with content management systems (Dalet, Galaxy or similar).
• High school diploma or equivalent required; a four-year degree is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Edit video for broadcasts using non-linear editors.

• Assist with media management and workflow in a newsroom environment.

• Proficient with non-linear desktop editing, including but not limited to Adobe Premiere.
• Flexibility to work a variety of shifts: weekends, early mornings, late nights and holidays.
• Work collaboratively with reporters, assignment desk editors, producers, writers and managers
• Proven ability to multi-task and thrive in a high-pressure, deadline-driven environment

Preferred Skills/Experience

• Prior experience in a News environment a plus
