The University of Rochester laboratory in Rochester, NY is seeking a Medical Technologist II to join the Microbiology SMH team. Under supervision, you will perform advanced testing, develop and implement procedures, and maintain quality systems.

Testing is routinely performed without supervision, and complex interpretation of results is required. Keeps meticulous notes regarding experimental methods, data, and conclusions, as applicable. Must be proficient in all aspects of test principles and methodologies and be able to make judgments about applications for specific cases. Develops and maintains applicable standard operating procedures and policies in collaboration with laboratory area leadership. As a core member of the technical staff, this position will perform all duties of the Medical Technologist II and will adhere to all hospital and laboratory policies.
