Job summary

CHI Health Midlands seeks a qualified Medical Laboratory Technician or Medical Technologist to join our non-profit system. You will analyze body fluids, operate and calibrate analytical equipment, and enter results into the laboratory information system.

The role supports patient diagnosis, treatment, and prevention within a community-focused hospital. We offer a $15,000 sign-on bonus and $10,000 student loan forgiveness to new hires, with opportunities for professional growth and collaboration

Qualifications

• Associates or Bachelor's degree in Medical Lab Technology or Medical Technology or related field.
• Certified as a Medical Laboratory Scientist or Medical Technologist by ASCP.

Responsibilities

• Analyze body fluids to determine normal or abnormal components.
• Operate, calibrate, and maintain lab equipment used in analysis.
• Enter data from analyses into the laboratory information system.
• Perform other duties as required.
• Will consider MT LDT or MLS candidates.

Analyzing lab testing is pretty complex. We depend on the knowledge and skills of our medical technologists when it comes to evaluating medical lab tests to determine what’s happening with our patients. What you’ll do:

• Conduct chemical analysis of body fluids, including blood, urine, or spinal, to determine presence of normal or abnormal components
• Operate, calibrate, and maintain equipment used in quantitative or qualitative analysis
• Enter data from analysis of medical tests or clinical results into computer for storage
• Other duties as required
• Will consider MLT or MLS
