Job summary

Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine is seeking a Med Tech Supply Chain PMO Excellence Lead to steward global portfolios and enterprise transformations. This role requires strong PMO leadership, governance design, and the ability to align resources with strategic objectives across multiple sites.

The position offers collaboration with Digital and Data teams, exposure to AI-enabled analytics, and travel up to 25% to support cross-functional programs across the east coast and beyond.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, supply chain, or related field; PMP/PMI-ACP or equivalent preferred.
  • Minimum 10 years of combined experience in Operations/Supply Chain, Engineering or equivalent.
  • 5+ years in large-scale program and project management within a matrix organization.

Responsibilities

  • Lead PMO creation and maturation across global portfolios and programs.
  • Define PMO charter, goals and operating model with senior leadership.
  • Manage end-to-end PMO work, benefits tracking and governance frameworks.
  • Coach PMO staff and build a community of practice for best-practice sharing.
  • Align investments and resources with strategic business objectives.
  • Travel up to 25% to partner with cross-functional teams.

Job Description:

Johnson and Johnson is currently recruiting for a Med Tech Supply Chain PMO Excellence Lead, (aka: Project Manager for Project Managers) preferably to be located in Jacksonville, FL, Raritan, NJ, or New Brunswick, NJ. Other JNJ sites on the east coast sites will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Demonstrated knowledge and ability to lead global portfolios, programs, and enterprise transformations in complex, cross-functional stakeholder environments.
  • Experience designing and implementing program governance structures including risk frameworks, escalation protocols, and executive reporting mechanisms
  • Strong business acumen, including industry, domain-specific knowledge of the E2E Supply Chain and its business units
  • Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to develop and communicate the PMO vision, and inspire and motivate Project Management community and staff (as required)
  • Demonstrated ability to influence without authority, align diverse stakeholders, manage ambiguity, and drive adoption of new capabilities across functions and geographies.
  • Experience supporting organizational change, Project/Program Management capability building, training, and continuous improvement in complex/matrix environments.
  • Strong executive communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to simplify complex information and create clear recommendations for senior leaders and cross-functional forums.
  • Excellent analytical, strategic conceptual thinking, strategic planning and execution skills
  • Demonstrated ability to align investments, resources and initiatives with strategic business objectives
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute a strategic resource plan
  • Deep understanding of current and emerging technologies related to Project Management
  • Significant knowledge of project planning tools with evidence of practical application on complex/varied programs
  • Experience partnering with Digital and Data teams to deliver scalable reporting, dashboarding, visualization, analytics, and business intelligence solutions.
  • Experience leading organizational change management efforts including process redesign, tooling transitions, or operating model transformations at global scale
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
PMO Creation and Maturation:
  • Facilitates among the PMO stakeholders and organizational leadership a consensus around the mission and vision of the PMO organization
  • Engages senior leadership and business partners to define the PMO mission, goals and operating model in the form of the PMO charter
  • Leads the identification and development of PMO roles, team configuration and recruitment appropriate to deliver the agreed-upon PMO goals and objectives
Methodology Competency:
  • Leads the identification and implementation of project management processes, methods, tools, guidelines and standards to establish a framework aimed at improving initiative delivery
  • Facilitates portfolio planning and prioritization processes used to prioritize investments, balance resource capacity and align initiative execution with strategic business priorities
  • Defines, manages and directs the end-to-end PMO work effort, which includes identifying, quantifying and tracking the realization of expected benefits defined in business cases
Coaching and Enablement:
  • Provides ongoing coaching and mentoring to PMO staff
  • Builds and maintains relationships with senior leadership and key PMO stakeholders, and acts as a trusted advisor
  • Regularly reviews and evaluates opportunities to improve PPM best practices
  • Leads (where one is agreed and needed) the establishment of a project management community of practice (CoP) to facilitate collaboration and best-practice sharing among practitioners
Value Management:
  • Assess enterprise or portfolio performance using metrics and reporting, supporting the organizations progression towards a value-based operating model
  • Assures strategic alignment through prioritization, resource capacity management, key result tracking and project/program management to achieve strategic vision
  • Execution of programs and enterprise transformations in complex, cross-functional stakeholder environments (as required).
Required Minimum Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, supply chain, engineering or equivalent is required. Project Management Certification is required. Multiple and/or elevated degrees are preferred.
Required Years of Related Experience
  • Minimum 10 years of combined experience with hands-on experience in Operations/Supply Chain, Engineering or equivalent.
  • Minimum 5 years Large-scale program and project management experience in a matrixed organization with broad experience in managing various types of projects and complexity.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience with operational excellence and continuous improvement.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Experience with AI, PowerBI, Quickbase, Planisware

The anticipated base pay range for this position is :

$122,000.00 - $212,750.00

Additional Description for Pay Transparency:

This position is eligible to participate in the Company’s long-term incentive program.

Subject to the terms of their respective policies and date of hire, employees are eligible for the following time off benefits:

Vacation –120 hours per calendar year

Sick time - 40 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Colorado –48 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Washington –56 hours per calendar year

Holiday pay, including Floating Holidays –13 days per calendar year

Work, Personal and Family Time - up to 40 hours per calendar year

Parental Leave – 480 hours within one year of the birth/adoption/foster care of a child

Bereavement Leave – 240 hours for an immediate family member: 40 hours for an extended family member per calendar year

Caregiver Leave – 80 hours in a 52-week rolling period10 days

Volunteer Leave – 32 hours per calendar year

Military Spouse Time-Off – 80 hours per calendar year
