Job summary

Waltonwood seeks a dedicated Med Tech to provide compassionate care in our senior living communities. You will administer medications, assist residents with ADLs, and collaborate with Caregivers and the Wellness Coordinator to support independence and safety.

You will report changes to physicians and families, participate in shift handoffs, and help with care coordination with pharmacies. A positive, respectful approach is essential to thrive in this team-oriented environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• In North Carolina, CNA is required.
• Caregiving or Med Tech experience is required.
• Experience working with the elderly and those with memory impairment.

Responsibilities

• Administer medication to residents based on medical charts and document accordingly.
• Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as toileting, bathing, meals, mobility and safety.
• Participate in shift change meetings to communicate resident status and needs.
• Assist Caregivers during shifts with transfers and other duties as needed.
• Act as a shift supervisor to ensure resident care needs are met and safety is maintained.
• Coordinate with physicians and pharmacies to ensure proper medication orders.
• Report changes in resident conditions to physicians, families, and leadership.
• Communicate with residents, families, Caregivers, Wellness Coordinator, and doctors clearly.
• Provide emotional support and maintain a respectful, cheerful demeanor.
