Job summary

Spring Gardens Assisted Living in Draper, UT is seeking MED TECHS for full-time NOC shifts with weekend availability. Join a team focused on meaningful resident care and red carpet service, with opportunities to grow, learn, and contribute to a safe, supportive community.

Responsibilities include implementing service plans, documenting care, responding to alarms, and ensuring accuracy in medication records. State certifications and CPR/First Aid are required.

Qualifications

• Must hold state required medication pass certification or other required certification, complete state required delegation and/or training requirements, and successfully complete the medication pass competency
• Must have word processing skills
• Must have current CPR certification, First Aid training, and Food Handlers permit as required by state regulations
• Must complete all state required trainings as necessary
• High school diploma or GED or equivalent knowledge and skills obtained through a combination of education, training, and experience

Responsibilities

• The Med Tech assists in developing, coordinating, and performing the tasks on the service plan according to the residents preferences and abilities
• Maintains and documents in the Medication Assistance Record
• Read and implement care/activities of daily living (ADLs) according to the resident service plan
• Respond to resident needs, pendant calls, and other community alarms in a timely manner
• Demonstrates empathy and develops caring rapport with residents. Promotes resident independence and self-care
• Delivers care and services in accordance with individual service plan for all assigned residents
• Maintains accurate and complete records of care delivered
• Completes incident reports accurately and timely. Understands policies pertaining to safety and infection control and demonstrates practices to control the spread of communicable illnesses. Promotes a clean, orderly, and safe environment. Assist housekeeping and maintenance staff to keep the community and resident property clean
• Recognizes, responds to, and reports concerns in resident's environment to ensure safety and comfort of resident
