Job summary

Amavida Living in Fort Myers, FL is seeking a full-time Medication Technician for the Night Shift (7PM - 7AM). The role supports a resort-style senior living community with Independent, Assisted Living and Memory Care services.

Responsibilities include medication administration per Care Plan/ISP, personal care tasks, and timely communication with nursing staff. Requires HS diploma/GED and 1+ year healthcare experience; completion of required Med Tech training is expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• One year experience as CNA/PCA/HHA/RA preferred.
• Completion of the 6 Hour Med Tech Training and annual 2 hour update.
• One year experience in Assisted Living or Health Care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with medication administration per Care Plan/ISP as directed by physician orders.
• Assist residents with personal care (bathing, dressing, grooming, etc.) per policy.
• Complete shift assignments or report to nursing supervisor if unable to complete.
• Make beds in AM and PM, strip weekly or PRN.
• Communicate with residents/families/Department Heads/Director of Resident Services as needed.
• Respond to call lights and emergencies promptly.

We are currently seeking an outstanding Full-time Medication Technician for the Night Shift (7PM - 7AM).

Here are a few of the daily responsibilities:

• Assist residents as assigned with a high quality of medication administration assistance per individual Care Plan/ISP as directed by physician orders.
• Assist all residents/clients with a high quality of personal care, including but not limited to; bathing, dressing, grooming, shaving, incontinent care, foot care, vital signs, height and weight checks per policy (where applicable).
• Complete and document shift assignments as assigned, if unable to complete, report to nursing supervisor.
• Make beds as needed in A.M., turn down as needed in P.M., strip beds once each week or PRN (where applicable).
• Communicate to residents, families, Department Heads and the Director of Resident Services when needed.
• Respond to call lights and emergencies in a timely manner.

Here are a few of the qualifications we need you to have:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
• One (1) year experience working as a CNA/PCA/HHA/RA preferred
• Completion of the 6 Hour Med Tech Training and annual 2 hour update.
• One (1) year experience working in Assisted Living or Health Care preferred

Pay Rate:

$17.75 - $18.25 per hourplus shift differential and 6 hours guaranteed overtime per pay period!
