Job summary

Meadow Falls of Middletown, an assisted living community in Middletown, OH, is seeking a compassionate Medication Technician (Med Tech) to administer medications and support resident well-being. In this role you will follow physician orders, document administration, monitor for side effects, and collaborate with nursing staff to ensure safety and accuracy in daily medication routines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Current Medication Technician certification (per state requirements)
• CPR/First Aid certification preferred
• Previous experience in assisted living or long-term care preferred
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures

Responsibilities

• Administer medications to residents following physician orders and established procedures
• Document medication administration accurately (MAR/eMAR)
• Observe residents for side effects or changes in condition and report concerns to the nurse or supervisor
• Maintain proper storage, handling, and disposal of medications
• Ensure medication carts and records are organized and compliant
• Communicate effectively with nursing staff, caregivers, and families
• Follow infection control and safety protocols
